In 2006, host Chris Hansen sets out to make television history, launching the short-lived but meteoric run of the exploitative hit television series To Catch a Predator – a show designed to catch pedophiles by luring them into homes through decoys, surprising them with the police and a camera crew. Documentary filmmaker Lance Oppenheim’s first fiction feature Primetime explores the show’s rise and fall, focusing particularly on an ambitious, egotistical, and at least somewhat delusional Hansen, played by Robert Pattinson. Featuring Skyler Gisondo, Phoebe Bridgers, Anna Faris, Bokeem Woodbine, Alex Winter, and Tony Revolori. (USA, 2026, 110 mins, R, English | Dir. Lance Oppenheim)
