Released a decade after the attacks of September 11, 2001, 9/11: An American Requiem gives voice to the firefighters, police
officers, paramedics, construction workers, and other responders who answered
the call in America’s darkest hour. Drawn from the Remembering 9/11 oral
history project, this powerful documentary weaves together firsthand accounts
of courage, sacrifice, loss, and renewal, creating a powerful portrait of
resilience in the face of unimaginable tragedy. Through deeply personal
testimony, the film honors a generation whose service, brotherhood, and
perseverance helped a nation begin to heal. (2011, 93 mins, English)
